🌻🫛Back to school Blog with Anson Primary 🫛🌻

That felt like the longest two weeks being away from gardening club. Before we broke up for Easter break, the children had planted lots of runner beans and peas and we were eager to see how they’d done.
Now there is always the worry with gardening in a school environment that the things you grow will inevitably be left unattended for periods of time – over the weekend, during the holidays and that sometimes mean some things dying or not surviving! But what a treat we came back to with a super healthy survival rate and the making of jack and the beanstalk happening in the classroom! Our trick, positioned on a sunny windowsill and given a nice big drink (in the tray) as bags and coats were being put on for the last day of term.
With a new term, came some new little faces and it was exciting to share the love of gardening with one more young person.
